Every wonder what kinds of animals are around you? What kinds of fish are in the lake?
Holliday Lake State Park has a great program for kids of all ages who are just plain curious. It's called "Touch Of Nature" and we have several scheduled for this summer!
Kids take a break from swimming to get in touch with nature
Kids get a change to ask our interpreters questions and touch all kinds of interesting things. Like a skunk pelt, a beaver skull, a turtle shell, a snake skin and a deer bone. Our AmeriCorps volunteer, Bryan Roethel, is a history buff, so expect to learn about Civil War history and park history too. Our Conservation Intern, Courtney Harlow, is an anthropology major, so she's going to throw in some cultural history as well.
There are all sorts of wildlife at Holliday Lake State Park
