While this blog might highlight events coming up in greater detail, many times the eNews shares heartfelt stories of events that have already transpired, photos and more information about the people places and things of Virginia State Parks!
As a park goer myself, I was not as interested in reading about events that had already occurred versus things coming up, but on the other hand, I am actually very interested.Let me tell you why…
The eNews shares stories and events that have happened and a few that will happen (some are copies of the same blog articles), and many times I did not know a park held such an event, so I will make a mental note to check that park out in the future! But it is even more that that…
When I first began getting the eNews I was touched by the personal stories, learning about the people behind the scenes at our state parks, the rangers, the summer staff, the volunteers and even the animals found in our parks!
Tip – Toward the bottom of each newsletter is a scheduled list of upcoming events. Park staff are not always able to blog these events in advance on the virginiaoutdoors.com website, so this is a concise place to find these! You can find them all right there alphabetical by park name.
So this is why I recommend you click the link and subscribe to the eNewsletter! If you find it is not that useful or entertaining you can simply unsubscribe.Virginia State Parks won't sell your email address, it is just a faster way to get the news to you in one fell swoop. (Cool, I finally got to use that term in a sentence!) The eNews will arrive immediately to your home, work desktop or your cell phone. I am not sure the links are always posted on Facebook for the eNews, I hope they are, but just in case, subscribe and see if you like what you read!
If you click here you will find the eNewsletter Sign-up and Archives.
