For 100 years the Girl Scouts of America have introduced generations of girls to nature through outdoor skills, environmental education and leadership programs.
The time spent outside in scouting has inspired countless women to seek jobs in environmental protection, recreation or education and to become advocates for the earth.

To honor this 100 year commitment to girls in the outdoors Virginia State Fair!
Over the course September 29th, 30th and October 6th and 7th a total of 10 troops from around the Richmond area will showcase outdoor skills that range from outdoor cooking to trail markers using Leave No Traceprinciples to identify common wildlife you might see while camping.
