Over thirty eight years ago a family set out to make a difference in their lives and the county they called home.
Built from the ground up, month-by-month, year-by-year a charming eclectic campground rose from the rolling hills of Powhatan, Virginia. Cozy Acres Campground proves to be the labor of love of the Daniels family. Larry and Jean Daniels along with their two sons, Scott and Preston, worked side by side to bring this dream to a reality.
Cozy Acres owners, Larry and Jean Daniels and John Zawatsky,

On a recent visit to Cozy Acres, John Zawatsky, park manager of Bear Creek Lake State Park, and I had the opportunity to spend a beautiful July morning with the Daniels. Larry gave us a tour of the facility and we were intrigued by his stories of the construction of the campground and the scenery of rolling hills and pasture land.
