Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas won’t be far behind. This is a family time of year; why not add a new tradition to your holiday season?
Come on out everyone!
On November 30 – December 1 2012Festival of Lights.
Over 200,000 lights will lead participants through the Foster Falls Village. Enjoy free wagon rides and antique tractor hayrides. Warm up later with complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and pastries. Visit Santa and tell him about your holiday wishes. This event is open from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. each night. Again this year, the park has partnered with local charities to help improve the holiday season for the entire community. It's only $5 per car or 10 canned food items or one unopened toy donation (valued at $5 or more) to enjoy this event.
Get in the holiday spirit!
New River Trail State Park's Festival of Lights is family fun you won't want to miss!
In response to last year’s record number of attendees, the park has decided to continue the celebration for an additional weekend. The following weekend, December 7-8, 2012 will be a drive-thru only tour of the lights. On Friday night, the admission will be $2orfive canned food items and Saturday night admission will be $3orfive canned items.
If you donate canned food, please be sure the expiration dates haven't passed. All food donations will be shared with area food pantries and toys will benefit the Santa’s Workshop Project through Wythe Co. Social Services.
