You know how you meet someone and immediately you know they have it? They are someone that strikes you as organized and together? Someone you know you can depend on?
That was my very impression of Patricia Patron when I met her for the first time at Mason Neck State Park. And I was right! She was welcoming and friendly and…she bought fresh donuts to share! When I need something Patricia is right on it. As park management knows, without the dedicated office managers and administrative support we all would be lost!
Patricia Paron, Office Manager
As I said, Patricia is the new Office Manager but not so new to Mason Neck State Park for over 3 years. She started out in 2010 as a Contact Ranger, and then worked as an Administrative Assistant later that same year. However, just like everyone else Patricia had to apply and land an interview in order to be considered for the Office Manager position.

Magnificent view!
Patricia is a native of Northern Virginia from the time before the Beltway. She shares her life with her husband Michael, two sons, two daughters, a granddaughter and a grandson.
Patricia has worked in retail and as a branch manager of a savings bank, a stay at home mom, preschool teacher and receptionist. She has also volunteered with community clubs, Girl Scouts and county schools. She loves playing with her kids and grandkids, yard work, hiking, biking and kayaking. Her therapy is all kind of sewing and needlework.

Park Manager, Jess Lowery stated “Patricia plays an important role at Mason Neck. Her knowledge of our administrative responsibilities and her organizational skills provide important operational support. She works extremely well with the public, we’re glad to have her on our park team, and she will continue make a positive impact at Mason Neck State Park.”
So let’s give Patricia a great big congratulations!
