Attend the next meeting on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. with a winter walk at 2012 calendar.
The Friends group is made up of park supporters who assist the park in achieving its goals of serving visitors and protecting park resources. The Friends raise money to provide additional support for park programs such as Junior Rangers, Interpretive and Multicultural events and special activities.
The group has many interests and backgrounds. Members are sensitive to the needs of guests and seek to support all of the unique park opportunities including nature, history, hiking, canoeing and many more.
When you become a member of the Friends of Shenandoah River State Parkyou participate in fun and interesting activities like canoeing, educational walks, photography and any other events you can think of! Plus, you help the park accomplish the programs needed to support its visitors and the environment.
Volunteers can earn awards based on the number of hours donated such as: an annual pass to all state parks, free use of state park cabins and campgrounds, discounts on gift items, and appreciation from park staff and our human and animal guests.

Shenandoah River State Park is located at 350 Daughter of Stars Drive, Bentonville, VA 22610. The park is in Warren County, eight miles south of Front Royal and 15 miles north of Luray. It's off Rt. 340 in Bentonville.
