I was recently at a Donna Tyson.
Donna was the guest speaker for the luncheon that day. The room was packed, our tummies were full and we settled back to listen. She told a story of self esteem that was part of a children’s book she had written. It was a lesson we all need to remember sometimes, even as adults. I won’t spoil it by telling you the story, it’s much better in her own words; you should read her book called The Red Bow.

I was so impressed by her that I asked her if she would be interested in speaking at the next Douthat State Park to kick off the weekend. Being the “trooper” that she is, Donna is flying in that morning from another speaking engagement then driving up to the rolling mountains of Douthat! I am very excited about her contribution to the Women’s Wellness Weekends and cannot wait for everyone to experience the good energy she creates.

Women's Wellness Weekends are held twice a year at Jefferson Pools. The sessions are designed so that there is something for everyone. I consider myself an outdoor girly, girl (I like to be outside in nature but still think it is important to take of myself) and I feel the programs are awesome! You will leave refreshed, rejuvenated and feel like you have been treated like a queen.

The conference fee is $149 and includes the programs beginning Friday afternoon and all of the meals. There is a small additional cost for the extra Friday programs. Lodging is available at the park – everything from camping to cabins. Bring along friends and save on the lodging cost. Commuters are also welcome!
