Two years ago Cumberland County 4H Extension Office formed a partnership to provide after-school programs at the park. Throughout the fall semester, students from Cumberland Middle School participate in a variety of interpretive programming. Programs such as Owl Pellet Dissection, Stream Ecology, Canoeing, Basic Field Archery, Camping 101, Survival/Ecology Games, GPS, Geocaching and Wilderness Survival are offered by park staff.
The after-school program is funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. To learn more about the after-school program, click here.
