It’s that time of year when parents begin to think about how they are going to entertain their children over the summer break. Why not introduce them to nature by enrolling them in a summer camp program at Pocahontas State Park. Two summer camps are planned for children ages 5 to 12.

Jr. Assistants
Ages 13-15
$40 per child
You will help the younger kids on hikes, games and crafts and assist the camp leaders as needed. You also get to do all the cool fun stuff! You can help with all the camps for one fee. *A note to parents* Jr. Assistants are a necessary component to summer camp. They are there to help the leaders, but they also serve as role models to the younger campers. As such, it is important that they adhere to strict behavioral guidelines. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn leadership skills as well as earn community service hours. The one time fee covers supplies.
