On this National Day of Giving, also known as #GivingTuesday we would like to highlight two easy ways to support your Virginia State Parks.

Several companies have programs where their customers can indicate non-profit organizations to receive donations based on their purchases. The Virginia Association for Parks (VAFP) is registered with both the Amazon Smile program and Kroger Grocery Stores.

Amazon donates 0.5% of eligible Amazon Smile and login with your account or create an account if you don't have one. When you log in the first time, you will get a screen asking you to "Select a Charitable Organization to Start Shopping." There will probably be one suggested but go down to the box that says "Or pick your own charitable organization" and type in Virginia Association for Parks. Click Select when you see it at the top of the list.

You can either search for Virginia Association for Parks or use their number 81617. Once you connect your card all you have to do is use your card at checkout to benefit the VAFP.
