Volunteers work to make Virginia State Parks even better!
Volunteers from Dominion
If you follow my blogs and Virginia State Park's blogs, then you know that we are fortunate to have incredible volunteers that work throughout the state parks. Their dedication and love of the parks is quite amazing! We are so very proud of the hard work and accomplishments of our volunteers.
Volunteers working with park staff
Recently a group of 20 volunteer from the Lake Anna State Park. Thanks to their hard work and efforts, new benches were built and installed in the picnic area, they refurbished parking lot islands in the visitor center parking lot and painted a building that is part of the Gold Mine exhibit. Their time resulted in almost 140 hours of volunteer hours! Great job!

overnight accommodations include camping and cabins. Many of the two-bedroom cabins have access to a dock that makes it very convenient for boaters. There are hiking, biking and equestrian trails open year round.
