Virginia State Park parking fees waived for Veterans Day
We salute our Veterans at Virginia State Parks
RICHMOND –Virginia State Parks will waive parking fees for everyone on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. These fees will be waived at all 35 state parks managed by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.

In addition to the parking fee waivers for everyone on Veteran’s Day, parking fees are waived every day for Armed Forces Veterans and for active military personnel and their families living in Virginia. These waivers remain in place through the end of 2011 as part of Virginia’s celebration of the state parks’ 75th anniversary.
Virginia State Parks with their blend of outdoor offerings such as hiking, camping and picnicking and their many natural and cultural programs have long been family-oriented. Virginia State Parks remain open year-round, with the fall being an increasingly popular time of year to visit.
