Kayaking has become very popular since I purchased mine5 years ago.
These boats were the domain of skilled sea adventurers and whitewater daredevils. Now, there are a number of sit-inside and recreational models made of durable rotomolded plastic. It isn't hard to find some makes and models at national chain sporting goods stores for $500 or less. Kayaks are far less expensive to own andmaintain than motor boats.
