The 15thannual Celebration of Summer Festival will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Claytor Lake State Park. There will be a full day of activities, with beach music, arts, crafts and food vendors, and much more.

Musical entertainment will begin with a mini performance from Oklahoma by the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre at 11:30 a.m. Musical entertainment for the afternoon will include Uptown Trio and the Part Time Party Time Band. Southern Nights–Going..Going…Gone Beach will close out the performances beginning at 7:30 p.m. and continuing until after the fireworks. Fireworks by Grucci will be at dusk.
The Annual Car Show is a popular part of the event.
The Adult/Youth Fishing Tournament starts early!
The day’s events will begin at 7:00 a.m. with the Everett Lee Yearout, Jr. Adult/Youth Fishing Tournament and Essay Contest, with trophies and awards to be presented in the afternoon. Other activities throughout the day include the Old Dominion Historical Fire Society's Antique Fire Truck Drive-in, the annual car show, children's activities, and remote airplanes performing tricks and stunts.
There will also be wine tasting with Virginia wineries include Attimo Winery, Christiansburg, VA, Virginia Mountain Vineyard, Fincastle, VA, Homeplace Vineyard, Chatham, VA and Stanburn Winery, Patrick Springs, VA.
Exhibitors include Pulaski Fresh Farm to Table, Claytor Lake Sailing Association, Coast Guard Auxiliary helicopter landing/static display and search and rescue demonstrations.
The annual Claytor Lake Celebration is sponsored by Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, and the Claytor Lake Festival Committee.
Activities will take place throughout the park. Parking is $10 per car or $5 with five cans of food. There will also be a free shuttle service form Dublin Walmart beginning at 6:00 p.m. to return after the fireworks. Claytor Lake State Park is located at 6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive, Dublin, VA 24084.From I-81, take Exit 101 (Claytor Lake) to State Park Road (State Route 660). State Park Road ends at the park's entrance.
