On Saturday, September 24th, Women in Science"at the Heritage Center on State Park Road from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Guest speakers will include Krista Weatherford the educational support specialist at Pocahontas.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to participate in a presentation series developed by women for women with interest in the sciences. The speakers will elaborate on their accomplishments, careers and their strategies for success.

Georgia Southern University's Center for Wildlife Education and The Lamar Q Ball, Jr. Raptor Center in Statesboro, GA.
“My hope is that the young girls and other citizen scientists in the audience will be inspired and motivated by these speakers to seek a career in the sciences,” said Carmen Rabago, series developer and AmeriCorps interpreter volunteer at Pocahontas State Park.
