Youth Ambassadors. Sisters Taylor and Ivy Arbaugh will be working together to promote Bear Creek Laketo our younger generations. It was an easy decision to name them as our youth ambassadors since they are certainly familiar with the park. Their two older brothers have worked at the park for several seasons as Lifeguards. Taylor has worked for two seasons in our concession stand. Ivy volunteered last season in the boat house and concession stand.
Hi, I’m Taylor Arbaugh, one of the two youth ambassadors. I attend Cumberland County high school, and I’m currently a junior. I play softball, volleyball, basketball, along with track and field, but I must say that volleyball is my favorite with softball as a close second. Along with sports, children are a passion of mine, especially the smaller ones. After graduating high school I plan to either go to the University of Virginia, or the University of Florida, to begin my study to become an OBGYN, or a midwife, as long as it has something to do with newborns or babies, I’m all for it. I would also like to double major in photography if possible.
Hi, my name is Ivy Arbaugh and I am one of the Youth Ambassadors at Bear Creek Lake State Park. I am 14 years old and I go to school at Cumberland County High School. I play four sports year round; Cross County, Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. I love photography and enjoy the outdoors very much. I volunteered at the lake during the summer last year and found it to be a wonderful place where I got to meet amazing people and helpful staff. I was very honored to be offered the position of a Youth Ambassador and hope to help in ways that will benefit the park.
The staff of Bear Creek Lake would like to welcome them into our family and we look forward to the contributions that this program will have on our operations.
