For the first time at Little Critters Traveling Petting Zoo.” Animals you will find at the petting zoo include: alpacas, sheep, miniature donkeys, miniature horses, pygmy goats, potbelly pigs, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs.
Bring your children to Douthat State Park for games, interpretive programs to learn about rabbits, face painting, and make an Easter basket from recycled materials all for free.
Take your picture with the Easter Bunny and purchase a copy for $5. Make your own picture frame to go along with your picture for free.
The Easter Egg Hunt kicks off at 5 p.m. with 2,000 eggs hidden. Stick around to have dinner with the Easter Bunny after the hunt for $5 a plate.
Many of Douthat’s activities meet at the Discovery Center. Turn onto the gravel road towards Camp Carson Shelter, cross the low water bridge, and park in the parking area. The Discovery Center is the shelter on the left.
