While doing research for a new trail at Chippokes Plantation State Park, Erik Molleen, District Resource Specialist, came upon evidence of an active eagle’s nest in the park.

While we can not disclose the exact location of the nest, the overlook and viewing scopes by the Visitor Center would be a great place to catch a glimpse of the eagle fishing over the James River.
