I love all four seasons. One of the great things about living in Virginia is that we get to experience all four of them in all of their grandeur. Don't get me wrong, I am usually more than happy for one season to end and the next to begin and winter is probably the one I am most anxious to see put to rest. So even though spring will mean pine pollen and some terrible allergies, I welcome it with open arms.

What I like the most about spring is the stark contrast between winter and spring. I get excited when I see the blooms on the trees, the forsythia and daffodils, and green, all that green, after the brown of the winter. As nature awakens, it's the perfect time to visit a Virginia State Park and witness all that spring has to offer.
