Caledon State Park’s Annual Youth Outdoors Day!
September 21st2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
On Saturday Sept 21st Caledon State Park will host the 6th Annual Youth Outdoors Day. This is a safe and educational way to introduce children between the ages of 6 and 16 to a wide variety of outdoor skills and activities. There will be both an archery range and an air rifle range to test marksmanship abilities! Both ranges will have instructors to guide participants.
There will be K-9 demonstrations from the VA Dept of Game and Inland Fisheries.
The Patawomeck Indians of Virginiawill have a Native American village display and will demonstrate a legacy of skills including hide tanning and flint napping.
Throughout the day there will be displays and activity booths from The Friends of Caledon State park, VA Deer Hunters Associationand more. The staff at Caledon will also be conducting wagon rides during the event. For more information please contact the park. (540) 663-3861 [email protected]
