When asked why they chose to spend their spring break volunteering with a state park, Troy Croak from Danville, PA mentioned he was thinking about pursuing a career in parks and recreation management so he can become a park ranger. Others talked about their love of the outdoors and the desire to spend spring break doing something they normally wouldn’t do.
An alternative spring break program places teams of college students in communities to engage in community service and experiential learning during their spring breaks.
