Waking up at a Virginia State Park is more than a feeling, it is an experience!
James River State Parkoffers gas grills on the decks of all cabins, so for us it was a no brainer, breakfast outside overlooking the river. Enjoy the smell of bacon and eggs wafting through the air?youbetchya!
A great place to enjoy your morning cup
We cooked outside, we ate outside and it was awesome!
We viewed wildlife in the meadow below and near the river just after the sun came up
The early morning mist on the James River was magnificent!
Our breakfast view
Tons of space to run around, this is a great place to toss a ball, or fly a frisbee for the dog
As much as my husband wanted to sleep in, I slept with the blinds open to catch the sunrise naturally, and when it was up I was up! I just knew I could spy all sorts of animals out front of our cabin in the wee hours, and I was right! Surely we can't be the only people who think cooking bacon and eggs outside is a brilliant idea? Junie B sure thought it was!
