It began fourteen years ago. We had two young children and not a whole lot of money to spend on vacations. We started out camping and then stayed in the cabins. We have stayed and continue to visit numerous Virginia State Parks, we brag about them to friends and families.
The sensation begins as we see the sign leading us down the tree lined road to the park office to check in. The adventure begins as we approach our campsite or cabin. Our families old ways and habits are quickly replaced with fishing, hiking, boating, swimming, biking, collecting wood for the evening fire and on and on. When we are at the state parks the days gently refreshes and renews each of us in our own way.
