Parks welcome visitors to come explore the winter wonderland, but we do want people to be careful getting to the parks. For along with snow capped trees and frozen ponds, winter storms bring snowy and icy roads.
These conditions can make for hazardous driving situation. Conditions that many folks may not be used to or comfortable driving in. This certainly holds true in the Hamptons Roads area.
So if you plan to venture out during wintery road conditions put into practice these tips from weather.com It’s also a good idea to check before the heading out with the park to see if any of the entrances or parking areas have been closed due to snow or ice.
