Cabin #17 is a 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin atSmith Mountain Lake State Park. Many of thecabins here have a waterfront/waterview and this one in particular! These are not the newest cabins in the state park system, but they are very popular as they are set up well and have guest amenities in place.

Hint #1 There a drive-in movie theater in a cow paddock not far from the park called 50's style diner, which was the old Cosmo's Diner in Chesapeake, relocated to Smith Mountain Lake. Inside you will find 50's fare like great burgers, ice cream floats and even banana splits! You can enjoy this diner daily, it opens at 630 a.m.

Cabins atSmith Mountain Lake State Parkare open year-round, they are a ton of fun in the off season, play board games, charades, have inside fun and then hike and bike the trails, or fish the shore or rent a boat and go for a clunker largemouth bass!

A fee is charged per pet per night for overnight stays.
Docks are available at the cabins, but guests must park their boat trailer in the overflow parking lot. There's no electricity at the overflow lot or the boat docks. Each cabin has one slip.
LOCATION:The park is on the north shore of Smith Mountain Lake in Bedford County, approximately 40 miles from both Lynchburg and Roanoke and 140 miles from Richmond. To get there, take U.S. 460 to Route 122 South to Moneta, then go east on Route 608 to White House. Next go south on Route 626 for two miles to park entrance.
