Master Gardener training will give you 50 hours of specialized classroom training in horticulture with some hands-on field trips. Within this 12-month period you will need to complete 50 volunteer hours of service on approved educational projects. Upon completion of these two goals, you will be awarded your official Master Gardener Volunteer Certificate!
Class information:
When: March 6 – April 26, 2012
Where: Wytheville Community College
Times: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Knowledge makes things more interesting too. Many of the things taught in the class will be things that you can use to identify plants on a simple hike in your local Virginia State Park. Master Gardeners have also worked with Virginia State Parks to complete the volunteer hours. Volunteering is a win/win for the park and the gardener.
Bland and Wythe Counties are located in Southwest Virginia approximately an hour and half west of Roanoke. Wythe County.
