It was a beautiful and serene morning for an autumn river float on Columbus Day morning at Shenandoah River State Park.
Many guests staying at the new RV campground decided to take advantage of the deepest water level in months, thanks to the prior week’s huge rainstorm. Several participants were kayaking for the first time and paddled like pros! We were able to spot one lone Great Blue Heron along the riverbank.
Many thanks to Dr. Mike Hyun from Pennsylvania, who took all of these great pictures while manuevering his kayak at the same time!
