Come join Wilderness Road State Park on Saturday, April 16 for an Easter themed “Amazing Race” style treasure hunting adventure with park GPS units. Participants will experience nature and history while searching for hidden geocaches! Teams will race to locate clues hidden in Easter Eggs, where they will gather information vital to winning the game.
This unique GPS scavenger hunt uses clues and coordinates to search for the colorful holiday icons, leading to the lucky egg and its treasure. The triumphant team will be the group that can solve the riddle from the hidden clues and make it to the finish line first.
Each team will be given a GPS unit with pre-programmed coordinates, leading them to their first puzzle.To continue on the treasure hunt, teams must study clues hidden inside elusive Easter eggs, each one producing a vital clue to the next stop. Each group will need to study the messages carefully as clues from each egg will be used in the final puzzle.
This program is most appropriate for ages 6 and up. Pre-registration is required.The program begins at 1 pm and costs $3.00 per person or $8.00 per family (up to four members).
