I am blessed! I have so many friends that have jobs that they don’t like but I have a job that I not only like but enjoy even when I am not working. My family even takes part in the fun. This past weekend, I realized we are not the only one who feels that way.
For the past several years, we have taken advantage of the Kingsport, TN and then come to the park to experience the Light of the Tunnel. It has become one of our family’s favorite holiday traditions.
Thousands of lights line the way to the mouth of the tunnel
The event features thousands of lights lining the way to the mouth of the tunnel, community entertainment, hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows, and this year, Santa.
Can't get too many marshmallows
We soon realized, we were not the only state park family at the festivities. I have always heard that you know a meal is good when the cook can enjoy it. For us, the event is good when staff come on their own time.
Cold weather can't dampen the excitement
