The amphitheater is the perfect place to enjoy an evening of music set against the backdrop of beautiful Fairy Stone Lake. Don’t forget to bring a picnic, a chair, a blanket and plan to relax!

It wouldn't be the end of summer without the traditional folk and new age sounds of "Simple Gifts.” This performance will take place on August 17. The members of the Blacksburg, Virginia area, folk quartet, are Charles Bostian, Jack Webster, Carolyn Smith, and Marya Katz, who sing and play hammered dulcimers, guitars, flute, bass, and percussion. Simple Gifts performs traditional American, British, and Irish folk music, with some world music and original compositions thrown in. Their repertoire ranges from train songs to contemporary favorites and love songs.
Included are Appalachian fiddle tunes, early American hymns, Irish tunes, and original compositions.The concert willtake placefrom 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

On June 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.take a musical trip through time with a Historic Bluegrass Performance by Bill and Maggie Anderson. Bill (guitar and vocals) and Maggie (dobro and vocals) cover the history of acoustic music in the Blue Ridge Mountains from the old time dance songs of the first settlers and the Carter Family to contemporary bluegrass and gospel. In between songs, Bill and Maggie discuss the stories behind the music. .
Concerts are free, but park admission rates apply. In the event of rain, performances will take place ina nearby picnic shelter.
