Why do the reindeer get all the glory this time of the year when your four-legged pal is with you all year long?
“Frosty the Snowman” may not have enough of his kind of weather to be by your side. Your pooch is always around and never lets you down. Tis' the season to celebrate with our dogs!
He really knows if you have been bad or good
The Friends of York River State Park invite you to celebrate the season with your loyal and loving dogs at Noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14th.
Explore the holiday scents and sounds of the woods along Backbone, Beaver, and Woodstock Pond trails as we hike from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Human participants will receive a set of “jingle bells” and there will be special treats for the dogs. After a good walk, we will enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies. Enter your best dressed pooch for the Holiday Hat and Outfit Contest.
Hike with your holiday best
Let this special season of sharing be for dogs and other pets that are less fortunate than your own. We are accepting donations of pet food and other supplies. Parking is $4 and all are invited to explore other trails throughout the day.
Win a prize, share with others, and have fun
