A public meeting to gather comments on proposed updates to the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation will present recommended changes to the Sky Meadows master plan and accept public input.
Sky Meadows State Park is located in northwestern Fauquier and eastern Clarke counties. The park is 1,864 acres and predominantly pastoral fields and woodlands. Visitors can enjoy hiking and bridle trails, and historical interpretation of the property’s agricultural past. Recreational activities are designed to have minimal impact on the park’s natural setting. In 2004, Sky Meadows was named to the National Register of Historic Places.
Trinity Episcopal Church is at 9114 John S. Mosby Hwy., Upperville, Virginia. The meeting will be held in Cox Hall. For more information, contact Park Manager Tim Skinner at 540-592-3556 or [email protected]; or Park Planner Bill Conkle at 804-786-5492 or [email protected].
