Seaver then introduced Delegate Terry Kilgore. Kilgore, Delegate representing the counties of Lee, Scott, Washington and part of Wise, spoke of the growth in tourism and economic development that the cabins represented not only for the county but for the entire region.
The ceremony concluded with remarks by Virginia State Parks Director, Joe Elton. He thanked the community for all the support given to Natural Tunnel State Park and Virginia State Parks in general. Elton and his wife, Patty, were two of the first guests to stay in the new cabins. In a local news broadcast, Elton talked about the cabins and the breathtaking views from the porch of the cabins.
The new cabins include seven 2 bedroom frame cabin that sleep up to six, two 3 bedroom cabins that sleep up to eight, and one 6 bedroom family lodge that sleeps up to 16. Reservations for reserving on line.
