The VMN program is a statewide corps of volunteers providing education, outreach, and stewardship service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities. For more information about this program click here.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation remains one of the sponsoring agencies of the Virginia Master Naturalist program. Since then, the chapter has spread its wings to reach more of the citizens of the central piedmont of Virginia. 2010’s class in Farmville was a success, and this year the chapter hopes to attract participants from areas in southside, such as Appomattox, Charlotte and Lunenburg, as well as Buckingham, Amelia, Prince Edward and Cumberland counties.
