The National Day of Service is also the National Day of Remembrance for 9/11 at Virginia State Parks. Please join us as we as a nation remember and give a little back.
Below is a list of Virginia State Parks Service and Remembrance activities coming up on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, which also touched many Virginians as The Pentagon is in Virginia. All events listed below will take place on Sunday, September 11, 2011.
Shenandoah River:
A 9/11 commemorative tree planting will be held at the Visitor Centerfrom 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in remembrance of the events on September 11, 2001.
