Park Rangers can be many things—administrators, marketing and media managers, law enforcement, maintenance specialists, housekeepers, resource coordinators, and education specialists. Education Specialist are the Park Rangers that are the "face" of our parks–they are the ones that lead hikes, take students of all agesfield trips, conduct wetland programs, or guide paddling classes.
First Landing State Park's interpretive programs. In park lingo, education personnel are called "Interpreters" because they "interpret" the outdoors for the general public–they help you understand and connect with the cultural, natural, and historical resources in the park.

Jennifer also leads a variety of field trips for public school and private education groups. Her favorite field trip is an exploration of the plants and animals inSesquicentennial Civil War Commeration from 2011-2015.

LOCATION: From I-64, take Northampton Blvd.-U.S. 13 North (Exit 282). Go through eight lights, then turn right at the Shore Drive/U.S. 60 exit (last exit before the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel). Take a right on Shore Drive and go four and a half miles to the park entrance. To reach the Chesapeake Bay Center, park office, camping or cabins, turn left off U.S. Rt. 60 at the stoplight and check in at the contact station. For the Trail Center, picnic area and trails, turn right instead.
