Traditionally, Memorial Day is seen as the official kick-off to summer. It is a time to get outside, to dream of leisurely days in the sun, and enjoy family and friends.Hungry Mother State Parkis the perfect place to encounter the summer.
Memorial Day weekend the park will be open for the season, including the beach, boat rentals, and the Restaurant.
Beach hours:
Weekdays 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Weekends 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Dock ‘N’ Shop (boat rentals)
Everyday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Restaurant
Tuesday – Sunday 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday – Saturday 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday will no longer offer brunch. It will be menu only.
Programs also will be in full swing by Memorial Day weekend. Each day, park interpreters will have a variety of programs offered to guests. Some programs are free, but others have a fee. Some examples of programs are Music in the Park, – FREE, Trick You Stick – $3, Native American Games – $3, or the Critter Crawl – FREE. For a full list of programs click here.
The park is full of adventure for everyone. With over 12 miles of trail within the park, hiking and biking are favorites. And of course, who could forget fishing! Really, there is something for everyone at Hungry Mother State Park.
