It’s official, Spring is ready to explode in the State Parks in Virginia. Being from southern California, the seasons still take me a little by surprise and franklyI have to agree with whoever said “in the east you really feel like you have earned Spring.”
Well, we’ve earned it and I don’t know about you but I’m ready. This morning driving into Leesylvania State Park I saw the first hint of color onan Eastern Redbud tree. This is my favorite springtime bloomer and just seeing itbroughta smile to my face.
Don’t forget another sign of Spring, nature’s children. We will soon start seeing spotted fawns, baby oppossum, little foxes and more. So slow down, look out for the little critters and enjoy the blooms, I know I will.
See you in the park!
