Virginia State Parks has a variety of internships–from conservation interns to marketing interns and from ranger interns to educational interns. With36 parks across the state needing to fill a variety of internship positions, many students can find summer internships close to home and related to their major or career path.
Internships are an important part of exploring possible career paths.Internships give students an opportunity to adapt the educational theory of their chosen major to real world applications. For instance, my marketing intern last year was able to take the information from his Advertising and Marketing courses at Virginia State Parks.
Cameron Lipscomb started as an intern and is now Chief Ranger at Powhatan State Park!
