Each first Saturday of the month, the Southwest Virginia Museum State Park hosts “First Saturday Community Coffeehouse." This community event is an opportunity for family members to come together and relax. The next coffeehouse will feature Nancy and Bill Smith on April 2, 2011.
Nancy and Bill Smith perform a variety of old-time, folk and original music. Bill is an accomplished musician, playing several instruments, including the base and fiddle. Nancy’s lilting voice has been featured across the nation as a member of Appalshop’s Roadside Theater ensemble.
Come warm your spirit at the Southwest Virginia Museum’s First Saturday Community Coffeehouse! These open-mic programs are for all family-friendly performers.
The program runs from 7-9 PM on the first Saturday of each month, January through May. Come share your music and talent with the community.
Performers are asked to arrive by 6:30 PM. Admission is free. Coffee, soft drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.
