Bring the family to Douthat State Park on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 starting at 11 a.m. for interpretive Halloween activities being offered throughout the day.
Bat Kapers will begin at 11 a.m., Spider Kapers at 1 p.m., and Snake Kapers at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Douthat’s Discovery Center. All of Douthat’s “Kaper” programs are designed to expose youth to the wonderful world of nature in a creative way. Stop by the Discovery Center to have some fun, make something neat and learn about bats.
Enjoy the Haunted Campfire at 7 p.m. Come to the campfire ring at the amphitheater for a ghoulishly good time. Come experience the warmth of Douthat’s campfire in the crisp autumn air. Enjoy marshmallow roasting, s’mores, spooky stories, tall tales, songs and lots of fun.
**Note: This is not the Haunted Forest.
