Where are my Pants? Episode 10: "Back to Work"
By Tom Cervenak, Marketing Manager
When you enjoy what you do, it usuallynever feels like work. This is the kind of advice I give to someone like Nick Ruxton, our new intern for the summer. Nick joined our Marketing Team to learn more about this field and about our beautiful canoe trips and other interpretive programsfor guests. To date, however, he had only been to 4 of our state parks. So, what better ways to break him in then immediately get out on the road and visit a couple of our parks!
Our first visit was to State Fair later this year.
Here we are hot on the trail for Fairy Stones
Nick took to it like a duck to water!
Our reason for being in the area was a meeting I had with the good porch and the 130 degree wrap around porch with white wickerrockers really did it for me. So, if our cabins are full at our parks, consider a stay with Shellie in one of the finest B & B's I have seen in years.
I always love a good porch!
Also, while in Rocky Mount, stop by The Cook Out for a great burger and unbelievable milkshakes that come in 30 different flavors. I had peach cobbler, yummy!
