Junie B here, I wanted to share with you some of the fun I have when I take Mum and Dad to my favorite Virginnie State Park.
I am allowed to stay with Mum and Dad in the cabin for just $10 a day
Mum and Dad get pretty stressed at home, with work, my teenaged sisters, and everything else going on. Every once in a while I suggest that I take them to my all-time favorite park to play, a Virginnie State Park!
It is a long ride over there, I stop and let them out to go potty on the way. Once we get there the fun begins. I help coordinate bringing in the gear, setting up their feeding station, and generally settling them in. Then I recommend a walkies to get them out in the fresh mountain air. I tell them there are a lot of really neat smells outside they might be interested in!
Dad seems to roolly like the squirrels, birdies and rabbits.
I make sure Dad is secure on his lead just in case we see some wildlife that scares him and he runs off the trail. The Park says he must be on a leash at all times connected to me, of course.
Making sure Dad is secured to the other end of his lead
Mum likes to hike the trails at James River State Park
Here I am, Junie B giving Mum a break on the Dixon Landing Overlook Trail
Later on Mum wanted to play Yotzee, but she wasn't too happy when I won!
Not easy to keep score with paws, but I did it
See a map of all 35 Virginnie State Parks here. I can recommend quite a few of my favorites if you like, but as long as they have outside, walking and hiking trails, and especially water cuz that means ducks and birds and lots of animals nearby as Mum and Dad roolly like to see wild animals!
Take the family to a Virginnie State Park to have funzies! I might just stop by and say hey.
PS While I have your attention, may I suggest steak on the bone for dinner, cooked outside on the grill. Mum and Dad seem to like that, and I can help out a little bit with the steak-bone afterward. Just don't cook any peas, dog's don't do green.
Remember my motto when you share this idear with your family and they scoff or think yer nuts:
