Memorial Day is still a month away but you don’t have to wait to enjoy being outside? Hungry Mother State Park is open now and waiting on you!
Camp Burson and Campground B are both open for the season. Camp Burson has full hook-up sites and free Wi-Fi throughout the entire campground. Campground B has water and electric sties available. Both campgrounds can accommodate both tents and RV’s. Cabins are also available for rental with a two-night minimum.
If you are staying overnight or just visiting for the day, paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, and row boats are available for rent at the Dock-N-Shop. The shop is open on Saturdays and Sundays throughout April and May, weather permitting.
Over 12 miles of trails can be accessed. All trails are open to hikers and most are open to bikes. The trails are a great way to enjoy the outdoors. The 108-acre Hungry Mother Lake is a favorite of local fisherman as well. The lake is home to catfish, bluegill, muskie, carp, walleye, crappie and both small and large mouth bass. The park is open 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
