In life we have heard the line “I would go to war with this person, or those people” as an expression of the importance of someone in our lives. Last week I was at Shenandoah River State Park. Tony is one of the driving forces behind this wonderful event and the annual coordinator that makes it happen.
Geoff Hall is a Park Ranger at Hungry Mother State Park and one of the nicest people you could ever have the pleasure to meet. I hired Geoff as a seasonal worker when I was the Assistant Park Manager at Hungry Mother from 1989-91. He stayed with us for a little while and then went on to sell insurance I believe. About 5 years ago or so at this very fishing tournament he walked up to me and said, “do you remember me?” He had returned to Virginia State Parks and it has been just like old times ever since his return.
Nice “small” flounder Geoff. In years to come I’m sure you will continue to improve your fishing skills by hanging out with Tony and I.
