High Bridge Trail is known for providing a unique trail experience. The easy grade with a wide and level surface make this rail to trail conversion an easy hiking, bicycling and horseback riding experience. So what do you do when there is snow covering the trail?
Some diehards come out and still hike, jog or even bicycle on it. But those are the exceptions and not the norm. The next best activity to try when snow blankets the surface is cross country skiing.
Although our winters limit the number of days cross country skiing can be enjoyed, it is a great alternative to the traditional uses of the park. Cross country skiing is terrific aerobic exercise and it provides a unique way to enjoy the park. For more information about High Bridge Trail State Park, click here or e-mail us at [email protected].
