There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea. -Henry James
Dear Mothers, your day is near! The tables are set, food is prepared, and people are starting to gather. On May 8th starting at 2 p.m. Leesylvania State Park will have an 1860's tea.
Come, learn, and enjoy a proper Civil War era tea time! We will be serving hot tea and light refreshments as we explore the finer side of 1860's society. Get to know the correct way to hold a tea cup, carry a conversation, and how to serve your guests. After the tea we will practice speaking the "language of the fan" and you will get to take your fan home with you. Don't forget to wear your hat and gloves. There is a cost of $4 per person. Space is limited so pre-registration is recommended.
