According to Johnny Finch, President of VAFP, “this fitness trail will be available to all age ranges (children through seniors), will provide a “back to nature” attraction, and will serve as a way to address local, state, and national issues concerning obesity, health, wellness, and rehabilitation. The trail will combine scientifically designed exercises with walking or jogging to provide a well-balanced physical fitness routine for the entire body. Users can proceed from one station to the next and perform the exercises illustrated by the signage that will be available at each station.”

The fourth project of the day took place in the picnic areas. An enthusiastic team removed 10 old charcoal grills and replaced them with new ones. Four hot charcoal bins were also donated. Before the end of the day a family had started using one of the new grills! It was their very first visit to Lake Anna State Park.
