Bring the family to Halloween activities offered throughout the day.
Campers are encouraged to get into the Halloween spirit for the Best Decorated Campsite Competition. Guests camping at Claytor Lake’s Camp Host for one.
Bring the family to the Costumed Bike Tour of the Park at 10:30 a.m. in Campground D at Claytor Lake State Park. Meet Camp Host Jim Zahn with your bike and Halloween costume. Costumes should not limit vision and any loose clothing should be tied or taped up for safety.
At 1 p.m. meet at the Campfire Circle in Campground D for Pumpkin Carving. There is a limited amount of pumpkins and carving kits, but families are encouraged to bring their own in case the park runs out.
Hang around at the Campfire Circle in Campground D at 4 p.m. wearing your Halloween costume for the Best Costume Contest.
Enjoy a campfire at 7:30 p.m. with ghost stories and marshmallows at the Campfire Circle. Guests will find out what campsite won the campsite contest, hear some really great stories, and roast marshmallows.
